Chicagoland has played an instrumental role in the development of the piping industry since the inception of Unions. Local 597 has indeed fought to keep America’s standard of living one of the highest in the world, through fair wages, reasonable working hours, and the safest possible working conditions for its members.
With the new organizing effort, Pipefitters Local 597 is looking to work with individuals working for non-union contractors to join our organization. With the help of our IPTA Organizers, those interested in becoming a union member can fill out the form below and begin the process.
